 welcome to CEO insights I'm Marilyn de Gman with investing news.com I'm speaking with Amanda Buckingham managing director of warrior resources a gold exploration company based in Australia hi Amanda Hi Marilyn great to speak to you today yes good to have you uh let start our conversation with just an overview of the company and your portfolio of gold projects do you want to start there I'd love to start there so weit wara is a brownfields gold exploration company and our Flagship project is in the merchon region of

Western Australia now we are fortunate in that we have an existing gold resource of 2 million ounces split fairly evenly between our wa our Western Australian project and our Nevada based project they are both gold projects the upside that we see is that our projects are both previous Minds with an existing resource and immediate growth potential on permitted mining leases both projects are also immediately surrounded by long life mines and in some cases development projects now our focus is primarily on

our wa asset we took on that project a year ago and we have been busy Drilling and adding gold to our our story yeah so uh I understand that you recently Rel released um announcements on realing results that you've been doing there could you provide some of the highlights of those absolutely so our main resource in Western Australia it's called Ricardo it's it's a lovely gold deposit it's 2.3 km long it has an existing resource of just under half a million ounces and we have just released results

from the first half of the drilling program that we have been doing we are really happy in that we have proved there are two additional high-grade shoots and we've also shown that the existing shoot that we knew about has really solid grade so we the results from yesterday's announcement were 32 M at 3.6 G per ton into a KN shoot and then our new Shute returned 11 M at 3.4 G per ton now that's the first hole into it really we went out with a a hypothesis we had determined that there

were four additional highgrade shoots at the resource to date having released half the progam we have already proved that two of these shoots are real and we're actually very excited to then continue through this year drilling at Ricardo and adding minable quality high grade ansers to the resource so how does how is that uh influence of the the these new results how are they then influencing you know your plans for moving forward for this project yeah great question so we our strategy is it's actually quite simple

and it's a proven strategy so we are out there drilling below existing pits and a long strike from existing pits we are finding gold below shallow oxide resources and when you look at where we hold our ground this has been a proven strategy for quite a few producers in the area so for example even to the north of us Remus resources has their Mount magnet project it started its life in a similar way to what we look like now shallow open pits over the course of time they drilled below the pits and Def

finded a much larger resource exactly what we are doing now at Mount magnet today they are mining at500 M below ground at our project we have only just begun the average drilling depth is 42 M there are several deeper holes but we are really only just now starting to uncover What Lies Beneath these pits so for us the strategy is a simple uncomplicated but proven strategy find more high-grade minable ounces of gold below at a long strike from existing pits so our strategy this year is three-fold we will drill at our main

resource our deposit called Ricardo and then we will move out we have six deposits in what we are calling the golden Corridor now it's a 25 km long Corridor of gold deposits with I think it's 16 historic pits hardly any drilling all the resources are open at depth so we're then going to step out and drill into and below the resources in that Corridor and then the third important I suppose ingredient to our our recipe for success is that we actually own 70 omers of the main belt and we will actually go out looking for

additional gold deposits along that main Shear so we are pretty comfortable that we can find a lot more gold at Ricardo and then we'll step out to the golden Corridor and then we'll look for additional resources to um to add to our inventory well what's your um long-term strategy I guess for for these projects so you're finding a lot of these um high grade gold in through your exploration work like how do you advance this do you keep on um you know exploring until you reach production or or you know or of

venture out join Brer what's the plan that's a great question and it's one that I'm asked uh asked quite often so our Focus now is to build a quality resource base so I've got a fantastic team we're looking at the D to the geology the geoscience we're Drilling in the right spot to find more gold we believe that our primary goal our focus is to add quality answers but at the same time we are considering all the commercialization pathways for this project we have good relationships with

our neighbors we're on the radar of everyone producing there are quite a few hungry meals in the vicinity of our project and we would like to move this project forward Define a larger resource this year and then be open to a range of of um of Pathways for our our company do you also want to talk about a little bit about your Nevada project and what's the the value proposition there absolutely so Nevada so we are currently actually looking for a good JV partner um or we we're open to divestment of that project

the reason we're doing that is I it's a fantastic project but we need to be careful with where we allocate Capital we are a small company we can't progress both projects um adequately so we have decided Australia is our Focus for now but the Big Springs resource is a million ounce high-grade gold deposit on a permitted mining lease in Nevada immediately alongside a mining complex that has a 10 million ounce production history fantastic project there's a drill ready program that we have

designed that could be drilled this year um in the summer and that could add considerable answers to the resource it was mined previously there are underground mine plans that have been done so we are actively talking to quite a few parties interested in helping us progress that project but our focus is on our wa assets they're in our backyard we can drive there from Perth it's a comfortable 5-hour Drive we've got excellent infrastructure we've got our own Mill and Camp if we wanted to use it
