welcome to CEO insights I'm Marilyn De Guzman with investing news.com I'm sitting here with Robert wear CEO of asisco medals Robert good morning um so the government of Quebec recently announced a pilot project that aims to maximize the economic benefits of the gas uh Gas pay copper project what tell us more about this and what this means for your project well it's a fantastic government initiative it's actually a first for the Quebec uh mining industry particularly for explorers and

developers uh first of all it uh proves uh demonstrates to us that the Quebec government is strongly supporting the project politically and otherwise and they're willing to uh take their time and expertise to maximize uh economic benefits so for us it's also a strong step towards social acceptability across uh the entire gas Bay so we're very very happy that the government took uh this initiative and the structure is going to be such that uh committee uh well actually already has been formed bringing in a lot of

players but mostly from the economic sector so Chambers of Commerce uh elected officials and so on and also P par governmental uh organizations that already uh in place um such as IQ with the Regional Offices to make sure that all the government funding Industries are are playing on the same board and also at the federal level I believe they'll try to bring in also Federal Representatives so it's fantastic initiative we're very happy that this uh has taken place and of course uh we'll be on top to top of all

this to uh help coordinate uh not just long term during production but between now and production and your gas Bay project uh in November you've you've announced a significant increase in your mineral resource could you tell us more about that and how does that uh you know how exploration has progressed since then so what we've done is we remodel the geology and we decided to push uh the pit boundaries further south um because part of the um concerns right now is how is this Landing

operation going to affect murdochville but we just wanted to see all right well if we go for it so to speak uh we we don't know as yet what the impact will be long term on the town be part of all the pering studies of course um but from a resource standpoint we want to know how far this could take us and uh obviously we're very pleasantly surprised we're able to essentially triple the resource to uh to uh well from 495 in pit uh indicated right now we're sitting at about 860 um indicated uh with another uh

7 690 I believe in the inferred so now we have to convert all of that to measured indicated which will be the purpose of this Summer's drill program we're planning a minimum 990,000 MERS starting in two weeks actually so it's going to be a very exciting year very busy year for us as we uh we grow this resource uh very significantly you're also conducting a visibility study could you provide some timelines for that uh right now we're still at the paa stage and we're planning

to uh produce the paa mid 26 based on the current resource we may be slightly upgraded uh by year end we don't want to delay the Pea further as the resource grows so at some point we're going to have to cut it off so I think what we'll do is uh we'll carry on the PA studies now the tradeoffs till the end of the year at 25 upgrade the resource with the uh data drill data available by year end and uh that'll be mostly conversion from infert to indicated and then uh issue a PA mid

26 uh we'll probably go directly to feasibility from there uh RPA is already fairly substan substantial in terms of trade-offs and so on so I'm confident that we can move to feasibility and that should be uh leas by the end of 27 on our current timeline so what's your strategy for uh transitioning taking this project projects from exploration to production right now obviously it's uh getting through the permitting process we're subject to both the federal and provincial so it's a lot of

paperwork a lot of studies uh and our current timeline we hope to have permits in hand including uh KET government and mandated public hearings called the bats we hope to have all that done by the end of 29 uh which point then we'd be at FID and in position to uh to make uh a decision on the Mind build so uh and that two years after that twoyear period after that to for the Mind build right well thanks again Robert for taking the time to speak to me today okay thank you very much always a pleasure yes and
