gold news

welcome to CEO Insight I'm Marilyn De Guzman with investing news.com we're at VC in Vancouver and I'm speaking with Jan Sito president of Troy mineral sanis good morning good morning mie morning so let's maybe start Aver ation with just an overview of Troy minerals uh give us a an overview on why Troy minerals is a a compelling um company um uh thank you very much for the opportunity to speak to you um yeah th minerals is a Canadian Resources company uh we trade in Canada that the

symbol Troy t y and in United States as as Troy F okay uh we are relatively young company and our main mission is to deliver or unlock if I can put it this way so this value uh by investing uh in critical minerals minerals that will have the current economies the green economies as we call it and obviously help Humanity on on several fronts uh now uh the whole thing is uh Advanced exploration uh quick to cast flow production and that's what we strike for M now one of the Commodities you're

focused on is high Purity silica could you tell us uh you know what the market is for high Purity silica and why this is significant for you yes the compan is around um three group of Commodities I would say uh High Purity Sila Vanadium and Associated metals like titanium Scandium and so on and rare airs okay but silica are definitely our key flag projects two projects out of four that I will speak to I hope and um uh silic is it's a rock uh it's there's plenty of silica on Earth but no much silica that

is high Purity and I'm talking greater than 98 99% silica it's primarily used for uh making photovoltaics uh solar panels become silicone and that becomes eventually uh semiconductors and and and microchips so the that's the hoer eone but High premium quality glass and solar panels is the other big use and it's a generally industry that according to experts will grow to more than100 billion dollar by 2030 there is tremendous growth in this and there are bottlenecks on the supply side as we

understand with the primary users being in Asia China Japan Taiwan Korea so miss this is probably a good time to talk about your projects what projects are you prioritizing right now and what are uh your strategy for advancing those yes we have a project in Mongolia called jagan Salah I urge our listeners to go and check on our web page and our public disclosure material this is very close to the Chinese border um silica on the benefit is uh I have been about 40 years in this industry and you know just

deliver a gold project that we sold to a medium siiz company but I was with BHP over 20 years and people can see my bio um but at the end to FKS now I'm getting more mature in this industry into Commodities that potentially require less processing and therefore it quicker to be uh exported or produced for a junior company Junior companies normally battle uh capital investment and and that dilutes companies and so on so silica you can just I can say easily blast scoop and load the trucks to sell

it and of course being in South Mongolia you are next to China the biggest consumer of silica this is a high quality project we are advancing now a mining permit application we're going to do it in the coming weeks we're not looking even months so please stay tuned for more disclosure public disclosure on this and and according to the historical um other precedence and so on normally Mongolia you get a mining permit quite fast so we expect to be even is some sort of starting production within

2025 so of course I say that with a disclaimer but uh we you know we are pretty well positioned to that the other big project and that's even bigger in size is in British Colombia it's called Table Mountain is very close to Golden in south of Bri Colombia and of course as get stand from this one would try to support the American and the Canadian Industries in terms of demand for silica and they are not many producers so especially with the current um new political regime that comes in the

United States we feel we are very well positioned for that kind of growth so um I guess expounding on that you have a plan to transition as you said from exploration to production what is your strategy what's the prospects for near-term production and and cash flow generation yeah we believe uh obviously the two Sil projects are well ahead than our Wyoming vadium titanium project but that also will come in line at some point uh and and and and good news will come within the first quarter and second

quarter of this year as we expect um but the two silica projects are come on the Forefront just because of the easiness and quickness to production as I mentioned so uh we we plan as soon as we receive a mining permit from Mongolia we plan to we are working already with uh Chinese oft uh players we got already one oft agreement uh so that's historical with a company when we acquire and we try to acquire more so we can arbit as on price but at the same time uh we we believe that the Mongolian

uh project can go and start something um I mean I cannot say numbers publicly yet but we think start small and grow as as we go but definitely create enough freus flow for the company to limit its dilution and while we do that in Mongolia we are bringing table Mount into application Bri Colombia of course Bri Colombia they you know you apply it it it doesn't happen that fast but uh things are changing um and of course silica is not mining is classified as quaring because you don't use any

chemicals at all to produce it uh you just we just PL at the stage to sell R silica uh High Purity R silica not really Mak silicon at least AG so pretty clean green economy um Victoria government and people canot really tell us that this can be achieved within 18 months to two years so while we start production in in Mongolia we believe we will bring Table Mountain into at least begin of production sometime by the end of 2026 what other upcoming catalysts do you have uh coming up in the next few

months by what I already said uh the most important Catalyst in my in the next six months and especially next few months will be submission of the application which is almost finishing uh couple of pasas that will come from British Colombia and Mongolia uh drilling results out of our Wyoming uh titanium and Vanadium project uh and of course once we get a m permit uh that's the most important catalist so we hope within middle of the Year kind of third quarter maybe that we can achieve that according to what they tell us from the

government we're already in discussions communities working with us so we don't feel we have too much risk from this perspective but I always put a risk in mining business right especially as you develop the company yeah these are the most important Catalyst but you know companies relatively young so people should check who we are what we have done in our life uh me has delivered a lot of wealth through previous companies I have been almost 38 years in this business and I have touched a lot of uh

projects that have become mins and with BHP and outside BHP so right definitely a lot of uh good prospects for the company so if you would summarize I think we're you know we're in VC uh summarize for the investor audience what are the three simple reasons why an investor should be looking at Troy I mean I I put the team as outside because that could have been the number one reason in my opinion but the three other most important reasons I would classify n Commodities so this is not the typical runof-the-mill Canadian

junor company in gold or copper um so we are talking about Commodities that are on tremendous growth upswing uh the supply demand imbalance and resource nationalism has created opportunities for companies like that to come new entrance in the market I mean just next to our British Columbia projects as to put an example from you may alone um they just raised a private front $130 million c MC Davis with a company called NOA Global to build a new silicon plant in Tennessee and that was added the Biden Administration so the Dynamics are

very positive for that so n commodity space that RFS Vanadium all of these metal Scandium are are looked in the market so we see a lot of discussions by United States Geological Survey by other players because people want to support support local growth of companies like that that's number one number two quickness to cash flow I would say it's a projects that you don't need too much capital investment you need to go and pursue your exploration create the economic parameters that you want to

develop work on oft agreement so it's more as much as it is mining it's also industrial play all right so you have to work on a marketing of the commodity too and and and and talk to the consumers uh but the quickness to cast flow is very important which uh will help the company you know fight somehow the biggest risk of these Junior companies I mean I I pass business development manager of BHP I followed more than 650 companies my portfolio you can believe it but at that times and I see that always the negative

thing if we can say of jingle companies is that always need Capital because you don't have production you need Capital so you dilute Yourself by creating form of freas flow automatically that limits your dilution and therefore the company grows in terms of size and and as long as your projects of course deliver but um that's the factor in this case well thanks and the third thing is obviously the high quality projects we just mentioned I mean I haven't even spoken about the rare RS project in Quebec

that's very high value on Surface 4 hours north of Montreal but the Wyoming uh uh mayi L Street has seen ATT tension by many people at the stage so we are kind of working hard with the American team and that's another good thing about Troy we we try to put pigeons in the hall so although we have a common management which has very low overheads we we build different teams in United States in Mongolia and in British Colombia so automatically you understand these are not permanent people with us

so there are associations and and people that work with us to deliver the projects so I ask the listeners to stay tuned follow public disclosure around Troy and and especially 2025 year to be a fantastic year for us okay thank you very much said we'll leave it at that thanks again Janis for taking the time to speak to me today I appreciate thank you very much and thanks everyone for watching join us again next time for another edition of CEO insights if you like this video like or leave a comment below we'd love to hear
