[music] I'm Georgia Williams and this is the Investing News Network. Today we're at the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference and joining me today is Robert Archer, CEO, director, and president of Pinnacle Silver and Gold, which trades on the TSXV at symbol PINN. Thanks for being here today. >> Pleasure, Georgia. Thanks for having me. >> How's the conference been so far? [snorts] >> It's been crazy busy. [laughter] >> I haven't seen a conference like this in
too many years. It's uh it's great. >> It's a good time to be in the gold and silver business. >> Absolutely. Uh prices are just going crazy and uh yeah, it's uh it's unprecedented really. I've never seen anything quite like this before. >> And on that note, could you give us a little bit of a background on Pinnacle Gold and Silver? Yeah, it's um well the main focus is in Mexico and uh in Durango State uh silver gold project uh that we're just trying to fast track to
production and uh uh so it's a past producer and um looking to get back or yeah get it back into production as quickly as we can um hopefully by the end of next year. >> Wow. Um you uncovered some high-grade mineralizations at their El Portro project in Mexico. Can you talk us uh to us about the highlights of those results? >> Well, it is a a high-grade mine uh or was uh when it was in production previously and uh we uh because it was in production, we do have access to a lot of the underground workings.
[snorts] Uh so we've taken probably about 900 samples uh from the underground workings. And so we do have a pretty good sense of where the mineralization is. And uh we did get some some very high-grade results. Uh up to 85 g silver and and about 520 gram uh or sorry not silver 85 g gold uh 520 gram silver underground and um so uh there is certainly some high-grade mineralization there. Uh you know so now we're going to get to underground drilling fairly soon and and just try to drill that off and get a better sense of
you know size, shape, average grades, that sort of thing. Uh the company's stated mission is to become a producer as quickly as possible. How do you plan to achieve this and which steps are you taking to fasttrack your path to production? >> So uh after taking those uh underground samples uh we have enough information now to move immediately to an underground delineation drilling program. Uh so you know this is not exploration. And it's h we're drilling this off at very close spacing to try
and get a a better sense of the size and shape and grades of the mineralized zones. [snorts] And from that we'll be able to start to put together a preliminary mine plan. Uh and then we'll start to rebuild the plant that's there. And um we're moving everything uh you know through the permitting stages and uh get get all that put into place. So there there's a lot going on um and a lot of these things just being done in parallel. So, uh, you know, it's not like, uh, we have to wait for one thing
before we can do the next or, you know, there's there's a lot going on. So, lots of lots of news flow coming. >> And when you wake up and you know, it's $113 silver and $5,000 [laughter] gold, what does that do to the economics of your project? >> Oh, it just uh I mean, even from where we were 6 months ago, it it should be uh economic at that point. uh you know so I mean where we're at now this is just uh we just want to get into production that much faster uh so that we can take
advantage of this um you know it's just uh is pretty incredible. >> Absolutely. And what near-term catalyst should investors be on the lookout for? >> Well, starting that uh underground drilling program is kind of the key. Uh and uh from there uh we hope to get permits for surface drilling within the next couple of months as well. Um so we'll start that as as soon as we can. Uh and then it's uh permitting of different uh different kinds um uh water permits uh environmental permits um you
know those sorts of things. So moving everything you know forward through uh through all of that. So there should be a pretty steady news flow >> and the permitting process is pretty straightforward I'm assuming. >> I don't know that I would call it straightforward but uh and it can be quite complex actually. I mean there are a number of permits that are that are required and and at different stages. Um but uh you know it uh we do have we've established a pretty good relationship
with the various uh authorities uh in Mexico and um uh we've got some some good people on our team that are working through that process and uh so it's just it's a little timeconuming that's all um you know and just uh a little back and forth with uh with the authorities but uh but things are going well and and progressing uh in the right direction so uh you know we're pretty confident that uh we'll get there uh in a in a timely fashion. >> Fabulous. Well, thank you very much for
joining me today and sharing the story of Pinnacle Silver and Gold. >> My pleasure. Thank you. >> I'm Georgia Williams with the Investing News Network and this is Robert Archer with Pinnacle Silver and Gold. [music]
