[music] This is the Investing News Network. I'm Georgia Williams and we are here at the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference. Joining me today are Dominique Ducet, chairman and head of exploration of Sirius Resources, and Jean Phelix Leed, incoming CEO of Sirius Resources, which trades on the TSXV under symbol SOI and on the OTC QB at SIRF. Thanks for joining me today, Dominique and Jean Phelik. >> Hey, good morning. >> It's very nice to see you. >> Very good to start our our conference

with with a discussion with you. >> Absolutely. Yeah. >> Um I was wondering if you could tell us a little bit about serious resources. >> Well, I may talk first because uh as uh some many people know I'm the founder of the company. So I did start Celios in 1994, 31 years ago uh with a a business plan, exploration plan focusing on a specific area of Quebec province which is the EUI James Bay and mainly focusing on precious metal gold. So uh now through the years the company was

successful in discovering a significant gold deposit. Let's say deposit that day after day is became is becoming more significant. So it was the uh uh 2016 discovery of the year in Quebec province. So since uh that discovery that project became the flagship of the company. So we are quite proud to be uh an explorer that discover and is working toward development of a future mind on that project and u now recently I mean in the last few weeks we are now joining with a new group of person including

Jean Phelix and Sean Rosanne Lance Farmer and that for me the significance of this is the second the new life of Syria is starting now that is really exciting and you ended 2025 on some exciting news with the acquisition of OV. Can you tell us a little bit about the deal and what it means for the future of the company? >> Yeah, sure. And I mean we're just launching OV in in the last few months before we announced the deal and with the same idea gold focus James Bay. Um so and and I think it's there was two

things. So first geographically makes sense and uh to join the teams as well. Dominique just mentioned the fact there's two new board member coming at at Serios Sean and Lawrence and me as well with a more Dominique is a well-known ge geologist with exploration in mind and I'm mining engineer with more development in mind. So we're joining now forces um to to develop the main asset. Chichu will really be the cornerstone asset of the of the combine entity, but also with the portfolio of

of property for for more exploration in in James B. >> And you guys have a focus um in Quebec, which has become one of the most exciting mining jurisdictions in the world. Um how does operating in this region, you know, affect the strategy of Sirius? Uh I mean all I think Dominic started to believe in James Bay many times ago and I I I am a firm believer on that region as well. So so I think it's a a great mix of there there's been enough in that area to show the potential but there's still a lot of

potent a lot to to be added to this. So, so I in term of maturity and I think in Quebec I think there's some been some critics and over over the last two years I'll say uh but I think it still remain one of the best place to do exploration to see uh I mean per permitting wise and also uh all the the knowledge and people available to to support exploration projects. So, um, and Dominique can talk more, uh, about doing business in James Bay and and the relations with with First Nation, but I think it's it's it's

all on green lights, if you wish. >> Absolutely. Um, you know, with gold prices remaining historically strong, it's a great time to be involved in gold. Um, how is the company balancing near-term value creation through drilling and discovery against the longer term goal of building a scalable, economical, resilient asset? I mean uh you know it's it's quite obvious that we are really pleased with the the the gold environment uh the gold price rise that we see in the last few years even months and weeks and days and

uh but since the initial discovery we we were convinced that the quality of the the gold deposit that we have will direct us toward a future mine. But with the the significant rise of the gold price, it's only increasing and highlighting uh the value of that project and uh since uh we reach a level which is close to three million ons in the deposit with a great potential for uh increase the size of that deposit. It's only it's fantastic because day after day that project through the development of

exploration drilling increasing the the the size of the deposit in addition to the gold price it's a fantastic uh timing and opportunity and John Felix you may >> yeah if I can if I can add to that I think it's uh >> the [clears throat] the pitfall is it's to adapt to the gold price and and target that those short-term term changes but I think that the phase the next phase for Chichu is is drilling. So I don't think we have to change anything because of the gold price. So we can

just benefit from it because because we we want to continue to grow before launching the the next few steps. Uh so I think it's it's just a good moment for us and and don't have to change change anything. So >> right and 2026 just started. Um what exciting developments do you guys have coming this year? So yeah, so now the we're expect to close the transaction in late of February and we uh are working for the next drilling campaign that we we want to start in the summer. >> Fabulous. Well, thank you very much for

joining me today, Dominica Jean Felix. It was very nice to speak with you and thank you for sharing Sirius's story with us. >> Thank you so much. >> This is the Investing News Network. >> Thank you. >> [music] >> I don't know.
