[Music] welcome to CEO insights I'm Marilyn dezman with investing news.com we're here at pdac and I'm speaking with Robert Archer president and CEO of Pinnacle silver and gold I'm Robert hi k um so the acquisition of the uh El poo in Mexico could you talk about um you know what makes aloto an attractive acquisition for the company and how does that align with your company's strategic objectives so aluro is um it's very significant for us in several uh ways because uh first off it's right in the

midst of a very well-known very well mineralized District we have four producing mines within 35 kilometers with the project and yet the project itself uh has been privately owned for uh about 40 years and so it's never seen any modern day exploration it's never been drilled and yet it was actually in production in a small scale um back in the late 1980s so uh you know there are some historic underground workings there and and there's even uh basic infrastructure for plants as well processing plant and so what that allows

us to do is while we're exploring project and defining a resource and expanding it we can be um rehabilitating the the MW working and the plant to actually move it towards production very quickly and that in essence is our business models um to you know get into production quickly and then try to build the project then the company out of cash flow more than relying on Equity finances because you know the market has been so difficult these last uh few years uh you know and if you can build the company out of Castro then it's you

know it's that much better can with this acquisition you do have um a couple of ontera projects Aris and the north merch how does that um impact the trajectory so how does that align with the objectives for those two projects so you know it's it's easier to raise raise money right now for Mexico than for an area like Red Lake um you know for whatever reason um and so this allows us to kind of pivot a little bit uh you know focus in Mexico for a while um it will be faster to move forward and and

you know get something like El poo into production in Mexico we couldn't do that in two years in in Red Lake area for example but having the project um in Mexico and hopefully being able to continue financing it that will allow us to um eventually sort of use some of those funds to work in Ontario as well um but in the short term the focus will be on Mexico um but I hope to be able to keep the the projects Ontario going you know through perhaps the summer and the fall um and on from there but there

there no holding costs for an Ontario which is nice I mean we own both projects 100% and uh so you know we we have the ability to sort of weighted out so to speak uh you know while we focus in Mexico and build the company that way now you know in a market with numerous players in the precious metal space um what specific advantages the this Pinnacle uh silver and gold offer investors and what what differentiate you from your peers especially you know was there at pdac or talking to investors you right right yeah

definitely a lot of companies here um I think you know one of the things is our business model it's a little bit of a hybrid in the sense that you know we're not Pure Play exploration and uh with the pereral project we do have the ability to move it forward forward towards production in a relatively short period of time uh also at relatively little cost um you know so I think having that ability and then being able to move the project forward like that is something that really differentiates us

um plus the fact that the uh the project is is very highr uh you know the um uh we've done fairly limited work on it ourselves uh so far because we just closed the acquisition this past week um and um but from the look that we have done this popular Dale BRS we've demonstrated that the Great uh of the mineralization is is quite high and it aren't the 10 G per pend B equivalent uh it's just golden silver and um you know so again that's something is is is an underground mine so you know it's it's smaller Footprints

in Dev pits so I think get to the faster the T from that standpoint as well so all of the things kind of come together to um allow us to you know sort of fast track this project if you like and you know that helps helps us to stand out a little bit from some of our Affairs that maybe just as I say tripl expiration where they're just either trying to find something or when she found something you know raising money for Bill program to draw it off you know so um you know hoping that that strategy will uh will

work first in this clinet um you know I think it will and uh you know I come at that um from uh a level of experience because you know as a co-founder of a great Panther back in 200 four that was effectively our business model uh back in the LA and it was very successful and starting from scratch we built uh you know a interior Mining Company uh out of uh you know from that approach and got into production quickly and and built from there so going back to that that old business model because I know it

works yeah druen is always good to go it certainly is yeah thanks again Robert for taking the time to speak with me my pleasure thanks me and thanks everyone for watching join us again next time for another edition of CEO insight light [Music]
