and I know that some of you don't invest in gold money companies this isn't why I'm talking about this I want you to understand when there's a shock to a company how the shares can overreact because what's happening is people go I need to get into these shares they all sell but that builds up like dominoes they all sell at once core inflation numbers came out this very morning we'll talk about that and I also want to show you a bunch of pictures of one of the stocks of one of the mining companies

that we like that I like a lot and the mine had a massive massive landslide the price went from $8 or $7 or so all the way down to a dollar and a bit is there an opportunity here we're going to talk about it I'm going to show you how to take advantage of this opportunity that's the core personal consumption expenditures price index for May in other words a gauge of inflation where they strip out energy and food so a stupid gauge but the Federal Reserve likes to point to this one they came in

exactly in line as expected and I want to talk about this because not about the number I'm talking about the way that markets move it's all about when there's a surprise or they blow past expectations or they miss on their expectations the Peter lead's newsletter is one of the most popular financial publications of all time but what happens is that analysts will look into the stuff and have their opinions about where things are going to go and so if you put all the analyst together then you have the expectations

the analysts are usually trusted often wrong sometimes right but the analysts are saying here's what we expect came in exactly as expected therefore there's no change in the markets nothing happened no opportunity here no angle however when there is a miss or a beat or expectations are way off or there's a shocking number that's where you strike that's your opportunity because money flows will start moving over there and then the assets will change because of the shock if things happen as expected as

expected as expected then what happens is that there's not a lot of give in the market not a lot of huge opportunities but when everybody else is wrong together and you're right because you understand what's really going to happen that's when they get surprised they run all of a sudden from that side of the raft over to this side and you already get positioned there another way to say it might be a little bit more clear if you're going to understand that something's going to happen such as the

price of gold is going to go a lot higher from here and you know that ahead of time like right now you could position yourself so that when the eventuality arrives you're positioned and you just allow the gains you absorb the gains you welcome them in you don't have to chase anything you don't have to stress out you don't even have to think about it for example in my opinion but about the pce it came in at 2.6% as expected did snoozers here's a chart of Victoria gold look what happened here

this was the landslide and this is where the shares found a new home right after it happened it's very fresh just happened as you can tell from the chart but it's very fluid situation there's a lot of considerations of further vulnerabilities or further landslides perhaps there's going to be some lawsuits perhaps there's some cyanide leakage out into the environment that will take years to clean up it's all up in the air right now however I want to tell you a few things because I bought

and did this after the fall I used to own shares I didn't get rid of them for any reason wrong with the company something else so use own shares my father owns shares my father knows the board of directors really well great Yukon Gold Mining Company I'm not talking about this exact company for you guys I'm showing you a lesson about what happens because this happens too with biotech stocks they'll have drugs in the pipeline one of their lead candidates fails or gets a bad review and the stock

price drops down to pennies sometimes as if they don't have nine other drugs in the hopper tell you some of the comments I gave to some of the shareholders of this company that emailed me about this we'll see some of the pictures of everything that happened and I'll tell you what I expect to happen several people wrote me about Victoria gold because I've put people into the stock I've owned shares before I keep an eye on it here's one of the answers that I sent out the reason I feel confident in

Victoria gold rebounding are historical precedence and I'm not talking about precedence with Victoria gold I'm talking about other mining companies where something similar happened and I'm going to actually show you one a company that had a landslide just like this and the stock price acted just like this and it was a few months ahead of this point so you can see what happened with the stock after the shock wore off I go on to say historical precedence the value of the proven reserves which are massive

and the management team those all make me feel confident that the Victoria gold story is far from over also no deaths in the accident or issue that's a huge point if there's a death or a couple of deaths that is going to be a much bigger deal this is a bunch of dirt slid down into the mine down the hill now they got to rebuild it and then make sure that all the other dirt around there is safe a lot of things are up in the air and that's part of the problem it's the uncertainty I tell you that the

uncertainty is worse than the bad news I go on to say typically a mine will have a sudden shock like a mine collapse and the shares get obliterated they almost always begin recovering after people have some time to process the event that takes weeks sometimes and Recovery only begins once all uncertainties and questions are identified and addressed and that's part of the problem here we still do not yet know everything because they have to look into the company hasn't even made a official statement

that I've seen yet I go on to say I do not know that Victoria gold will recover or go bankrupt or otherwise but I do feel like the downside risk from this point at these prices is far lower than the potential gains as shares move back higher to Fair values I've bought some shares myself and I will not be losing any sleep on this investment if there were a smaller mining company or the reserves were much less then maybe this would be an issue and look I can't tell you this is a big example a perfect example to show you

the difference between buying a commodity and buying the company that mins for that commodity a company has people who are steering the ship they could drive into the ditch they could embezzle money they can make bad trade decisions bad among ations with other companies they can mess up in so many ways the commodity cannot because the commodity is the same whether you're talking about on the streets of Japan or the streets of Toronto the value is always consistent and there's not a lot of risk there

compared to a company that maybe is making a lot of money they got plenty of gold in their mind but then the CEO goes off the deep end and goes crazy and starts just wasting money whatever happens the commodity is a much safer play and moves a lot slower than a company will if gold doubles in price gold mining companies will quintuple in my opinion here's some photos of everything that happened at Victoria gold and I'll show you these photos as I read you this article that I need to share with you and the thing about a m

collapse this is an example of something that can't be prepared for maybe you could know that maybe the companies cutting edges in terms of safety or they've done a bad job in the past and that would give you some Clues but you can't know that you invest in Jack in the Box restaurants and then all a sudden they sell a bunch of rancid meat and the price goes down you can't know that ahead of time usually companies have something that Commodities do not companies have company specific risk

this is from the northern minor yukon's NDP leader that's a political party in Canada NDP leader Kate white says she has spoken to someone who was injured on the site white Express concerned that the statement from the company was inaccurate noting a difference in the information she received on June 25th and what was made public by the company the day before this is an example of why you don't necessarily know that it won't get worse before it gets better because and the reason it's going to eventually

get better is there's so much gold in this property and they're already pulling it out big time but anyways we'll get into that in a bit too the reason that you don't know how how bad it's going to get it's because there still moving pieces but my point is that once the uncertainty gets identified and therefore eliminated like I explain to you guys in my up thinking book then things go back to normal you start looking under the hood you say oh okay so here's how much gold they have

here's how much they're producing etc etc etc and that's when the stock price will go up higher in my opinion and I mentioned earlier by the other company where they had a similar accident happen here's how this stock performed over that time and I'll intersperse it with Victoria gold they're just at an earlier stage of this going back to NDP leader Kate white I really want to know what containment steps will be taken I want to know what happens next and I want to know what's

the time frame we're looking at exactly what I'm telling you you get rid of the uncertainty and then you feel better about it that's what's going to happen with investors does a company have lawsuits maybe deaths cyanide leakage and then what they do is they'll declare bankruptcy to get out from all of those problems and just rename the company and roll the gold Holdings into a new company in that case yeah shareholders will lose money there's a ton of risk here but not at all compared

to how well this will do once everyone gets over the initial shock and the company stabilizes things and starts rebuilding and gives a statement about when they're going to be up and running fully again Victoria gold must quickly stabilize its Eagle Gold Mine site prevent another land slide and a spill to neighboring property the company suspended operations and said it's investigating an accident on Monday at the Yukon sites keep Lee pad it's about 375 km north of White Horse no one was

injured 1.3 km failure of material down a slope and I know that some of you don't invest in gold mining companies this isn't why I'm talking about this I want you to understand when there's a shock to a company how the shares can overreact because what's happening is people go I need to get out these shares they all sell and there's a lot of selling all at once and it overwhelms the buying that is a moment where shares go to deeply undervalued levels like a pendulum stocks go to undervalued before

they swing back to overvalued is there possible downside in terms of bankruptcies or more slides or funny out bad things of course there is I don't know anything about any of that but I believe it's worth taking a chance on this because I'll tell you I wanted to get into the next part but how much gold this little mine in Yukon is pulling out of the around right now Eagle the territory's only active Gold Mine produced 1.9 million tons in the first quarter for 29,5 180 o of gold and in 2023 for the

whole year company produced 66,329 not going to screw up their environment but also that's where the workforce almost always comes from a big portion of it at least but anyways if you take the average price of gold over those times the numbers are coming in of total Topline revenues for this mine they produced $68 million in quarter 1 and over $300 million in 2023 this is how fast they're producing this is how much gold is there and they'll get over this little hiccup I'd be so blown away

and it' just be really bad luck if they got rid of the stock itself somehow and then replace it with something else the point is that's very unlikely there's a lot of shareholders in this a lot of big high-powered companies that are involved with this they don't want the stock to go down either and they know how much gold is there in the ground in a militarily safe location now how much is all the proven reserves they have under the ground worth watch what happens if the price of gold goes up that is just a
